The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and government regulations. This role involves managing the accounting team and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounting team.
- Manage an accounting control system to ensure the accounting jobs of the company are following the accounting principles & government law and respond to issue financial & internal reports accurately, timely, and sufficiently.
- Responsible for ensuring that all accounting and tax records are properly kept, and reports and filings are done in compliance with accounting and legal regulations, standards, internal policies, and procedures.
- Check VAT, FCT, CIT,TP report and Statutory Accounts for the entity as prescribed by the local authority.
- Responsible for full sets of accounts, month-end close reporting, quarterly forecast, and yearly budget preparation.
- Work with external and internal auditors to prepare audited financial statements and ensure the reliability of the reports.
- Review expenses and analyze operating expense and budget variances with supported reasons.
- Ensure the smooth running of the daily operation of the Finance and Accounts Department and manage subordinates.
