Chief Accountant manages all accounting and financial activities, ensuring compliance with Vietnamese laws and tax regulations. The role includes preparing reports, handling taxes, controlling costs and inventory, supporting audits, and providing financial insights for business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; ensure timely and accurate closing (P&L, balance sheet).
- Manage daily accounting activities, including billing, tax declaration (PIT, CIT, VAT, WHT), and compliance with local laws.
- Check and analyze product costing and record impacts of expenses.
- Monitor accounts receivable and coordinate with sales on debt collection.
- Manage payments to suppliers and employees; track all related transactions.
- Prepare import/export inventory reports and support customs documentation.
- Maintain and organize all accounting documents in line with regulations.
- Control and manage fixed assets, support regular inventory checks.
- Verify accounting data and generate internal reports for management analysis.
- Ensure accuracy of accounting records and approve documents such as invoices and payment requests.
- Work with HR for payroll and social insurance coordination.
- Support external audits and inspections by tax authorities.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management.
- Advise managers on compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards and financial regulations.
