The Supervisor/Manager of the Technical Planning Department is responsible for overseeing and managing various technical planning activities within the organization. This role involves coordinating supplier transfers, managing product approvals, developing new suppliers, and ensuring quality management systems are effective.
Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Transfer & Local Procurement
- Prepare a list of target parts.
- Collect the latest drawings of the target parts and create a request for quotation (RFQ) for the new supplier. Evaluate cost benefits based on the quotations.
- Place a purchase order (PO) for samples and track progress.
2. Initial Product Approval Management
- Register in Prones, deliver samples, and manage processing in the technical warehouse.
- Issue an initial product approval request and handle payment procedures for sample POs.
3. New Supplier Development
- Research new suppliers' manufacturing capabilities through online sources and referrals. Plan visits and evaluations.
- Manage supplier evaluation procedures.
4. Quality Management System (QMS) Review
- Assess the adequacy and relevance of regulations, update them as needed, and check their effectiveness.
- Standardize missing regulations.
5. Specification Changes (Including Requests)
- Review specification change requests and create an internal rollout plan.
- Manage overall progress.
6. New Product Development Management
- Define product specifications.
- Develop an implementation plan and share it with relevant departments.
- Monitor overall progress.
7. Design Change Implementation
- Clarify design change details and communicate them to relevant departments.
- Evaluate production efficiency at the first-run confirmation meeting after the design change.
- Prepare a report on the design change implementation plan for the next month.
8. Complaint Handling
- Identify the issue and investigate the root cause.
- Develop and evaluate both temporary and permanent countermeasures.
- Share countermeasures with relevant departments.
9. IQC/OQC & Manufacturing Defect Management
- Investigate the root cause, develop countermeasures, and assess their effectiveness.
- Share countermeasures with relevant departments.
- Create quality standards and work procedure documents.
10. Other Tasks
- Manage training activities.
- Oversee 4M change management.
- Handle internal and external quality audits.
- Lead activities to reduce inspection time.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports.
