Material Control Staff manages delivery schedules and works with suppliers to ensure timely production. Handles cost control, resolves quality issues, and coordinates with teams to meet material needs.
* Responsibility:
- Develop and maintain material delivery schedules to meet production timelines and minimize delays.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to discuss material quality issues, resolve problems, and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance.
- Monitor material costs and negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with product development, design, and quality control teams to understand material requirements and ensure alignment with production needs.
- Analyze material data and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to foster trust, improve delivery performance, and support innovation in materials development.
- Manage all bulk fabric coordination with Mills post-development: Greige booking, bulk lot approval, testing, and delivering KPIs “On-time delivery” and “Right—first-time” materials.
- Mitigate material & trim issues with suppliers & factories.
- Lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders for material quality/color achievability as production ramps up.
- Coordinate with the sustainability team on RSL.
