Tender Engineer (Interior Projects) is responsible for preparing accurate bids by reviewing tender documents, estimating costs, and coordinating with teams and suppliers. The role also involves risk assessment, ensuring compliance, and supporting pre- and post-bid activities for smooth project handover.
* Responsibilities:
1. Tender Review & Analysis:
- Study and analyze tender documents, including scope of work, specifications, drawings, and contract conditions.
- Identify risks, key deliverables, and bid requirements.
2. Quantity Take-Offs and Estimation:
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs based on drawings and specifications.
- Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Use estimation software and historical cost data.
3. Bid Preparation:
- Coordinate with internal departments (design, procurement, planning) for bid inputs.
- Prepare and compile all necessary bid documents, technical proposals, and financial offers.
- Ensure bids are compliant with client requirements and submission deadlines.
4. Supplier/Subcontractor Coordination:
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure competitiveness and compliance of third-party inputs.
5. Risk Assessment:
- Identify and assess commercial and technical risks associated with the project.
- Propose risk mitigation strategies.
6. Liaison and Communication:
- Communicate with clients, consultants, and internal teams during pre-bid and post-bid stages.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain organized records of tenders, clarifications, and correspondence.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on bid progress and outcomes.
8. Post-Tender Support:
- Participate in bid negotiations and contract clarifications, if required.
- Support project handover to the execution team after contract award.
