The Senior Tax Accountant cum Accounts Payable is a dual-role position responsible for managing the company's tax reporting and compliance, as well as overseeing the accounts payable processes. The candidate will have a strong background in both tax accounting and accounts payable, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
1.1 Payable accountant:
- Checking and ensuring adequate documents, approvals per contract/company policies and valid invoices per current local tax regulations prior to posting invoices into Mankichi system.
- Discuss payment documents issues with departments and line manager.
- Recording qualified payment requests into Mankichi system with correct, appropriate general ledger account number per VAS.
- Capable of dealing with departments on payment issues and following up issues to avoid long pending issue and settle payments to vendors due date timely.
- Processing payments to vendors and employees timely based on weekly payment cycle.
- Ensuring payments to be processed into correct beneficiary’s bank information.
- Highlight overdue payments to line manager.
- Reviewing Aging report monthly and make sure invoices are being processed within processing timeline.
- Providing the proper justification and explanations for the case of long outstanding.
- Proposing initiatives to improve and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of current processes and procedure.
- Be manage original hardcopy of payment documents and avoid the case of loss or missing payment documents.
*Month-end closing:
- Assisting quarter-end closing with payable account reconciliation.
- Explaining the movement of relevant accounts and providing the reasons of variances.
- To be ensured to save sufficient reports/documents/reconciliation evidence monthly.
1.2 Senior tax accountant:
- Responsible for tax reporting including CIT, PIT, VAT, FCT, annex Transfer pricing, tax compliance and other tax-related matters.
- Reviewing revenue and expense items in accordance with the approved budget plan in accordance with the Company's processes and regulations.
- Reviewing data, documents of revenue, reasonable and valid expenses in compliance with the regulations of the company and the state.
- Responsible for checking, making and sending tax reports, tax declaration periodically according to the regulations of the Company and the State.
- Be responsible for explaining, providing documents and data to internal audit, external audit, tax inspection teams or the requirements of state agencies on tax compliance.
- Receive and answer all problems in the accounting vertical as well as problems of other departments and departments related to tax issues and policies.
- Plan optimization and take advantage of tax incentives.
- Other tasks when required.
