Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage NPD (new product development) projects to attend company`s and clients` demand, establishing recipes and formulation, planning and coordination industrial trials, cupping samples and issuing project completion reports.
- Manage primary and secondary packaging material development projects in contact to suppliers, following all stages of the process and setup their specifications internally.
- Research for new technologies aimed at modernizing production processes, analysis methodologies, analytical devices and quality practices applicable for the company’s business, coordinating basics research, appreciated research and innovation projects. 
- Be in charge of evaluation instant coffee samples received from clients, providing technical support to supply chain department in the selection of the most suitable product from the portfolio to be offered to each client.
- Responsible for issuing product and packaging specifications internally and with clients (product) or suppliers (packaging) and attend all necessary discussions and negotiations to fulfill these tasks.
- Assure clients’ needs are understood and fulfilled by all factory departments.
- Develop and apply technical training internally, focused on coffee business.
- Manage the R&D work team, being co-responsible for its composition, training, evaluation and maintenance, managing daily the human resources (work plans, annual leaves, hiring, movements, etc.)
- Participate in internal assessments and audits as required.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with company and legal regulations.
- Follow strictly company’s rules, policy, ethics, and compliance manual.

* Qualifications (Mandatory)
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, food technology, engineering, or other science field.
- Previous experience in Quality Control or R&D.
- Knowledge of product development techniques and scientific methodology.
- Olfactory and gustatory acuity.
- Ability with Windows tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Fluent English level.

* Qualification (Desirable)
- Previous experience in R&D in food industry, mainly instant coffee.
- Previous experience with sensory analysis.
- Previous experience with green coffee beans classification.    
- Previous experience with packaging material analysis.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Basic statistics to data analysis
- Previous experience with supplier evaluation/audit.
