The Production Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of production schedules to ensure the timely delivery of footwear products. This role requires aligning production activities with sales forecasts and market demand.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and coordination of production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of footwear products, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and market demand.
- Collaborate with the Head of Production to forecast and manage the resources necessary for production, including labor, equipment, and raw materials.
- Collaborate with product development, design, material and quality control teams to address any delivery or logistics challenges that may impact production schedules.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shoe factories, suppliers, logistics providers, and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in delivery performance.
- Analyze shipment data and logistics trends to identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings.
- Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to provide updates on delivery status and logistics performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- From 3+ to 8+ years of experience in production control, order management, logistics within the footwear or related industries. Candidates who have worked for Nike, Adidas, New Balance, or major shipping companies are welcomed.
- Strong knowledge of procurement and demand planning software, with experience in forecasting and managing large-scale production workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proven track record of improving delivery performance and driving supply chain efficiencies.
- Business level fluency in Japanese or English is required. Additional language proficiency (Mandarin or Korean) is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point and data analysis tools.
