The Chief Accountant leads the accounting team, ensures tax compliance, manages financial reports and audits, works with HQ and subsidiaries, oversees expat payroll, and provides financial insights for decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead the accounting team (1-2 staffs) in managing daily accounting tasks, journal entries, month-end/year-end closing, financial reports, financial statements.
- Taxation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the preparation and submission of CIT, VAT, tax returns, PIT for expatriates and other statutory filings. Provide in-depth knowledge and guidance for team and BOD on taxation matters.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the headquarters and other subsidiaries to carry on intercompany transactions. Oversee expatriate payroll matters, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations.
- Audit and Reporting: Manage the internal and external audit process, coordinate with auditors, and ensure all documentation is in place for smooth and timely audits. Prepare and review financial reports for submission to headquarters, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate standards.
- Business Management: Provide financial analysis and support BOD by reviewing budgets, forecasts, and optimizing costs. Support long-term planning and strategic decision-making.
- Leadership: Develop subordinates by providing training, guidance, and performance reviews to ensure high levels of competence.
