The Electrical Engineer in the Power Systems Business Division is responsible for supporting sales, executing projects, and assisting with procurement. Key tasks include preparing technical proposals, leading project execution, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Support
- Prepare maintenance target list and promotion documents based on Customer’s outage schedule, O&M manual, Toshiba Technical documents, previous inspection reports.
- Participate in sales campaigns alongside the Sales team.
- Review technical scope, prepare technical proposal including technical specifications, Recommended Spare Part List (RSPL), schedule, Division of Work (DOW), required equipment
& tools and arrangement in response to Customer’s Invitation To Bid (ITB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) (coordination with Sales).
- Participate in sales campaign, technical clarification, Contract negotiation with Customer
- In case of non-conformance issue, support Sales team to handle the issue.
2. Execution (Outage Execution or specific project task)
- Lead assigned project execution; in charge of overall Contract performance as job leader and/or Site Manager.
- Develop and implement execution plan to achieve Contract profitability.
- Manage outages properly including TA (Technical Adviser) mobilization, tools and material arrangement; prepare project schedule & review progress during execution to prevent delays.
- Coordinate with other related parties; manage subcontractor scopes.
- Understand Customer additional needs and develop for change order, in partnership with Sales and Contract Administrator
- Support TAs for their assigned jobs; manage TA’s reports submission and compile final report to Customer, if required
- Consult with TAs and prepare findings reports.
- Ensure compliance with Vietnam laws and Toshiba regulations.
3. Procurement Support
- Support Contract Administrator in preparation for Request for Quotation; preparation for procurement’s Technical Specifications and RSPL.
- Review supplier offers from technical aspects.
- Participate in discussions/negotiations with supplier in case requested by Contract Administrator.
4. Customer Support
- Understand Customer’s technical problems and provide technical support.
- Coordinate with global or Japan Engineering team to provide speedy support/advice to Customer for trouble shooting.
- Organize remedy works during Toshiba’s units warranty period.
