EPD Engineer coordinates new product builds, manages materials and production tracking from planning to shipment. The role also handles system updates, inventory, and ensures technical and logistics compliance.
* Responsibilities:
1. Project Preparation & Coordination:
- Conduct project kickoffs within the Production Design System (PDS).
- Perform BOM (Bill of Materials) and allocation checks.
- Prepare and manage materials for production, including consumables and internal materials (e.g., tray, carrier, magazine).
- Request SMT (Surface Mount Technology) for SMV
- Coordinate the customs registration application process.
2. Material Management:
- Manage materials for internal production, ensuring availability of parts for various stages (finished samples, semi-finished samples).
- Oversee the management and preparation of free samples (return and stock management).
- Perform material requisition applications for different stages (e.g., DOE, FA).
- Conduct material storage and module storage management.
- Perform inventory counts (adhesive, warehouse stock) and update inventory status regularly.
3. System Management & Documentation:
- Release internal project codes in the system.
- Maintain and update Nimbus Build Matrix, and Allocation.
- Create and modify part numbers (P/N), BOM, and engineering information.
- Create NVM (Non-Volatile Memory) maps from VRS and inform the test team.
- Track and analyze NVM dump data received from the testing team.
4. Build and Production Tracking:
- Create and track work orders (WO).
- Release Special Working Flow Requests (SWR).
- Coordinate and follow up on the FOL and EOL builds.
- Conduct morning meetings to track progress and discuss issues.
- Track and provide updates on build status (FOL, EOL, Test builds).
- Address and resolve build issues, provide feedback, and report on I/O (Input/Output) issues.
5. Shipping and Logistics:
- Generate yield reports and shipment lot summaries.
- Arrange and manage shipment logistics.
- Update ETD (Estimated Time of Departure), ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival), and tracking numbers in the system.
- Coordinate shipping samples selection and preparation of shipping labels.
- Ensure timely material requisition and delivery for different needs (e.g., DOE, FA).
6. Warehouse and Inventory Management:
- Oversee NPI (New Product Introduction) warehouse stock clearance.
- Manage and confirm material requisition and preparation processes.
- Ensure the efficient picking, transfer, and tracking of materials within the warehouse.
- Perform regular and daily inventory counts (full stock and change counts).
- Track and manage material return and confirm requisition status.
7. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with ROHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) after C4.0 compliance stage.
- Provide a comprehensive build cost summary and track the financial impact of production processes.
- Collaborate with the team for feedback and issue tracking in the build process.
